Pink Sox activate Kelly Johnson

The Boston Red Sox reinstated infielder Kelly Johnson from the 15-day disabled list prior to Thursday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Johnson will be active for the first time since being acquired by the Red Sox from the New York Yankees last week in exchange for shortstop Stephen Drew. The 32-year-old had been on the DL since July 23 with a strained right groin. In 77 games with the Yankees, Johnson hit .219 with six home runs
