Patriots release Anderson, two other veterans

The New England Patriots released veteran linebacker James Anderson on Monday, just a few months after bringing him into the fold. Anderson started all 16 games for the Bears last year, recording 102 tackles and four sacks. The 30-year-old Anderson played for the Panthers from 2006 to 2012 before signing with Chicago.
